Volunteer Roles
Join our team and volunteer!
Neighborhood Coordinator
Once a month, neighborhood coordinators remind their community of the monthly pick-up date, and collect donations from their neighbors’ porches and deliver it to the OCIM food pantry. This volunteer role requires a time commitment of only a couple of hours per month but provides a considerable service to the OCIM food pantry. To become a Neighborhood Coordinator, please complete the form or email us at hillsborough@porchcommunities.org.
Food for Families Volunteer
Food for Families volunteers assist with produce packing one Tuesday per month at Redeye Worldwide (505 Eno Street, Hillsborough). The date is predetermined every month, and packing takes place from 3:30 – 4:30 pm (shift 1), and 4:30 – 6:00 pm (shift 2).
For more information, or if you are interested in volunteering, please complete the form below or contact Elizabeth Dicker: elizabethdicker@porchcommunities.org

Food for Schools Volunteer
Help our Food for Schools team with fundraising to finance the program, and/or help with the purchase and delivery of snack food. We could use assistance with the following:
- Contacting area businesses and organizations to ask for donations to sponsor schools.
- Pricing and purchasing nutritious snacks, and delivering snacks to Cedar Ridge High School twice/year.
- Communicating and coordinating snack delivery with local school social workers.
- Publicizing the program.

OCIM Pantry Volunteer
If none of these opportunities fit with your plan or schedule, please consider contacting the Hillsborough food pantry at Orange Congregation in Missions (OCIM) for volunteer opportunities in the pantry or for their Meals on Wheels program.
